Transaction Tracker Overview

Our secure Transaction Tracker allows you to track the progress of your property transaction online. It is a unique service that no other law firm in Jersey offers and as an Ogier client this service is complementary and we believe it vastly enhances our service offering. We also stress that this is in addition to and does not replace the personal contact between us and you.

Benefits

  • Stay up to date with the progress of your transaction 24/7.
  • No additional cost. This is a complementary service provided free of charge for your peace of mind and convenience.
  • All your documents stored securely so that you can access them whenever you want from wherever you have access to the internet.
  • No jargon! The tracker is written in plain English so there is no confusion.
  • Online user guide.

How does it work?

  • When you have registered as a client of Ogier and we have been instructed to act on a transaction on your behalf we will set you up with a user name and password to access the Transaction Tracker.
  • On first login you will be asked to accept our terms and conditions and you will also be able to update your password.
  • Once logged in you will be able to track the progress of your transaction and also access relevant documentation.
  • The Tracker itself is made up of a list of steps we must undertake in order to complete your transaction from start to finish. Once each step has been reached we will update the tracker so that you can track our progress. There are six tracker lists depending on the type of transaction we have been instructed to act on, the system will present you with the correct list.
  • As well as the Tracker you will also be able to access relevant documentation that we will upload and make available via your transaction, on a completely secure part of the website.
  • Once an active transaction has reached its completion date it will be automatically moved to your transaction archive. Through the archive you will have access to your documents for years to come.
  • Third parties (such as an estate agent on a sale  and a mortgage provider on a purchase) can have access to the tracker progress sheet (but not your secure confidential documentation) to see how the transaction is progressing. If you do not want this to happen you can choose to restrict access.

The best time to seek legal advice in connection with the purchase or sale of a property is before you agree to buy or sell. If you would like to discuss your requirements with us or find out more about the Transaction Tracker please contact us on 504130 and we will be more than happy to help.
