  • Use this calculator if you are purchasing a residential or commercial freehold property or piece of land in the Cayman Islands. 

    As a first or second-time Caymanian buyer, you can receive a reduction on the standard rate of stamp duty. Check the thresholds for first or second-time Caymanian buyer reductions.

    The amount shown in your result does not include any land registration or title handling fees. If you are planning to take out a mortgage on your new property, you will also need to calculate the duty due on your mortgage. Refer to our mortgage calculators. 

  • Use this calculator if you are leasing a residential or commercial property in the Cayman Islands. 

    The amount shown in your result is calculated dependant on the term of the lease and either total or annual rental costs. 

    For leases exceeding 30 years in term use the purchase calculator.

  • Use this calculator if you are borrowing to purchase your property. Enter the total amount borrowed through your mortgage provider.  

    This is an additional payment, charged at 1% on loan amounts of less than CI$300,000 and 1.5% on larger mortgages.
